starwood?
anyone ever been to starwood? i'm thinking of going out there instead of west for the horning's hideout shows. i've never been but i've read quite a few books by many of the major presenters who'll be there, so that seems compelling.

Starwood was my first festival in 1984. I had to stop going when I moved down to NOLA because of lack of money. To me, it was better back in the days when it had less than 1,000 people attending, but at its worst, it was never a bad festival. No idea how it is these days. I made some great friends at Starwood.

It was always fun to bump into Bob Wilson when we were both tripping hard. We connected much better then.

If you do go to Starwood, I'd suggest finding Dennis Murphy and the folks he hangs with. Dennis is a long-time discordian, fire magickian, and anti-hierarchal guy. He hangs with AZO, a wind-up toy bull, who is the icon for the Cult of the Living bull. If you do connect with him, tell him I said hi. He probably still thinks of me as Bill Siebert, rather than Alobar.
